Proposals
To submit a proposal, please fill out this form. In addition to an individual paper, you may, if you wish, suggest a panel you would like to organize. Note that each member of the proposed panel would need to submit his or her own paper-abstract and have it individually accepted. For further information, see under “Guidelines.”
Proposals should be sent by March 1, 2012 (final deadline). SUBMISSION FORM
Please make certain that copies are sent to all three personnel listed on the form.
Guidelines
Individual papers should be scheduled for 20 minutes. The program will include one or two extra-length time-slots for a limited number of larger panels, or groups that require more time for the presentation of audio-visual material. Authors wishing to take advantage of such a possibility should indicate so in their proposals.
• Pre-organized panels are welcome. Normally, panels include three presenters, one of whom may be the moderator (if needed, external moderators may be assigned). As noted above, each presenter must submit an individual abstract by the deadline and to the persons listed above. Please indicate the organizer or moderator of the panel, if known.
• Susan Lohafer, in consultation with the other organizers, will be screening the proposals and will send acceptance notifications on a rolling basis. Early submission is advised.
• By submitting an abstract, authors give permission for it to be published on the conference web site and/or in the printed conference booklet.
• Only registrants may present papers or organize or moderate panels. Final acceptance hinges on registration (Registration forms and details will be posted later on this web page).
• A digital version of the paper should be submitted electronically to Dr. Maurice A. Lee by July 10, 2012 (please follow MLA style sheet). If he does not receive this completed version of your paper, it will not be considered for publication in a planned volume of proceedings.
